This month, volunteers read “How to Find a Bird” \ud83e\udd86\ud83e\udd85\ud83d\udc26by Jennifer Ward, illustrated by Diana Sudyka and “Knight Owls and Early Bird” \ud83e\udd89\ud83d\udc25written and illustrated by Christopher Denise, to over 1,000 San Jose 2nd and 3rd grade elementary students.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcd8\ud83d\udcd7Both books were left in the classrooms so students can read them again and again when they have time.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcd9Every student also received “New Kids in the Flock” by Elise Gravel to keep and take home.<\/p>\n
\u2795Plus, as RAL does every month, two projects related to the books were given to the teachers to distribute just for fun and to help the students remember and enjoy the books. \u270f\ufe0f\ud83c\udfb2<\/p>\n
AL of San Jose knows how important literacy is. Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders!<\/p>\n
