Our chapter house is located at 1441 W. 8th Street, San Pedro, CA 90732. (310) 832-8355, fax (310) 832-8460. Also at this location are a contract Post Office, a Gift Shop, the Frances J. Johnson Dental Center and Operation School Bell<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"bullet-red-star\">\n<li>Assistance League San Pedro was the first chapter chartered (1936) after National Assistance League was founded (1935).<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">More than 300 members volunteered over 35,127 hours last year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Over <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">$1,117,038 was given back to the community in service hours alone last year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Communities served: Carson, Compton, Gardena, Harbor City, Hermosa Beach, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Torrance, Wilmington.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Mission, Vision and Values&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #000000\">Assistance League was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the West to recognize the potential of volunteers in helping those less fortunate to a better, more meaningful life.
