Assistance League Puppeteers began in 2009 as a result of the epidemic of bullying in our country and began their performances of Playground Bully to local schools in the Santa Monica Bay Area. Last year, more than 500 school children saw the puppets. A new play was added in 2014: Caught in the Middle, a story about divorce.

We are grateful for your support with our bullying prevention initiatives. Just as a note, our entire student body took part in a previous bullying prevention assembly in November … For spring we definitely wanted to address the students in a more intimate setting and at their level so this presentation works out perfectly! – Cara Fields, Principal, Beethoven Elementary School

My second grade class at Coeur d’Alene Ave. Elementary in Venice saw your program a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It has sparked some very interesting discussions in my class. Thank you for providing this program for young children – they often find it difficult to express their feelings about bullying situations but your puppets gave them some language to use.  -Cynthia Block, Teacher, Coeur d’Alene Elementary School
