Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

ALSW identifies schools in Clark County whose students are most in need of assistance. Members partner with schools and are given a budget to help supply each schools needs. Whether it’s clothing, supplies or other resources, many Clark County students benefit from this program.

JUST because…

In partnership with the Department of Social and Health Services, our “JUST because…” program provides two sets of new clothing to children ages 10-18 when they are placed in foster care.

Assault Survivor Kits®

We provide clothing and hygiene kits for survivors of assault, both women and children, who arrive at the emergency rooms of PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center (Vancouver), Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital (Vancouver) and PeaceHealth St John’s Hospital (Longview).

My Life Story Books

We create handmade, fabric-covered binders that become memory albums for children in foster care as they move within the system or toward adoption.  In the books they can record their personal history, filling them with photographs, records and letters.

Children’s Opportunies & Potential

We work with Innovative Services Northwest to help children who have disabilities or other disadvantages reach their potential.  We provide financial scholarships, program supplies and skilled volunteer help in classrooms and therapeutic settings.
