[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3637″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Our Operation School Bell\u00ae\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong><\/span>has been giving brand new clothing to underprivileged schoolchildren since 1989. \u00a0For seventeen\u00a0years it operated out of the back room in the thrift shop; then in 2009, we were fortunate to be able to convert a\u00a0beauty shop around the corner (at 1525 N. Sierra Nevada) into Operation School Bell’s permanent home. Stockton Olive Oil\u00a0Project Company,\u00a0one of our generous donors\u00a0did much of the work.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"BEST<\/a><\/p>\n

For many children, this is the first time they have ever owned brand new clothing. \u00a0Many of Stockton’s schools have a majority of their students on free lunches, evidence of their lower socioeconomic status; \u00a0thus, the needs of our children are many.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, due to the schools’ transportation difficulties, we use the children’s size charts to fill bags with the new clothing, and then the school counselors take the bags to the school for the children.<\/p>\n
