The National Assistance League helps Wichita volunteers realize our vision for our community. All funds raised stay in greater Wichita for the benefit of ALW philanthropic programs.\u00a0 Assistance League of Wichita is one of 120 chapters with 22,000 members nationwide.<\/p>\n

Thirty-five years ago, 1987, charter members launched Assistance League of Wichita.<\/p>\n

Assistance League philanthropic programs continue to grow and thrive because chapters identify local problems and deliver the right solutions. Chapter volunteers conduct community needs assessments and develop programs to meet the needs they uncover. \u00a0The National Assistance League has a century-long track record of well-funded and well-staffed programs which make Assistance League chapters vital contributors to their communities across the nation.<\/p>\n

Assistance League member volunteers offer a number of vital programs that help strengthen communities. \u00a0These programs vary across our 120 chapters based on the needs identified in each community. \u00a0While the majority of programs focus on children and providing services such as school clothing, shoes, personal care items, school supplies\u00a0and literacy, Assistance League chapters offer programs and services that touch every age group.[\/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”HOW TO JOIN? NEXT STEP?\u00a0 <\/strong>Contact us at info@alwichita.org<\/a> or stop in at the Thrift Shop to ask for Membership Information.\u00a0 A Membership Committee member will contact you, answer questions and give a brief overview of programs and activities as well as arrange your tour.\u00a0 You will meet members as well as see examples of work underway.\u00a0 You will receive a copy of the 2020-2021 Annual Report and a Membership Information packet.\u00a0 After you join, you will have the opportunity to select your areas of interest during Orientation.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]MEMBERSHIP LEVELS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Voting Members: <\/strong><\/span>$40.00 annual fee and participate in a one-time Orientation and Training meeting.\u00a0 You receive a monthly newsletter, name tag, ALW shirt and annual member directory.\u00a0 You are encouraged to attend Monthly General Membership meetings, exercise full voting rights, attend other ALW activities and support the ALW mission by working on a committee, team or project.\u00a0 You establish the amount of time you wish to commit.\u00a0 You are encouraged to become a program or activity committee member, and grow into a committee chair or advance to Board leadership.<\/p>\n

Sustaining Members:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>$110.00 annual fee.\u00a0 These members are dedicated to ALW although they may have travel, health or life issues defining limited involvement.\u00a0 You receive a monthly newsletter, name tag and annual member directory.\u00a0 You are welcome to attend the Monthly General Membership meeting, ALW activities and provide aid to chapter philanthropic goals.\u00a0 These members do not serve in chair or other elected positions.[\/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”HOW TO JOIN?
