Assistance League of Atlanta member helps hurricane victims

When the temperatures started to drop in Panama City, Florida, Assistance League of Atlanta member Ann Fuller and her husband Tom didn’t forget about the many people still affected by Hurricane Michael.
They purchased over $800 worth of coats, sweaters and jackets for men, women and children one recent evening at our Attic Treasure Thrift Shop. They loaded them in their own car with plans to drive them down to Panama City and Mexico Beach the next morning.  Tom learned about the needs of those in the hardest hit areas through a friend who works at a local volunteer fire department.  He had already driven down a load of diapers and food a few weeks earlier.
Proceeds from our thrift shop fund a large portion of our programs so with their clothing purchase, the Fullers  “doubled” their good deed of helping children and adults in need.  A warm thank you for their support!
