It was a beautiful sunny day at Bear’s Best Golf Course in Suwanee, GA on Monday, September 27, where Assistance League of Atlanta held its fourth annual Charity Golf Tournament. The event included championship golf plus breakfast, snacks, lunch on the course, fifty-fifty drawing, silent auction and prizes for the winning teams as well as for the Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and Long Putt at the Turn. Of the 122 golfers who participated, 44 were first responders and essential workers who were invited to play a free round of golf as a thank-you for their service to their communities. The following area departments were represented: Atlanta Fire, Dekalb Fire, Dunwoody Police, Gwinnett Fire, Johns Creek Police and Norcross Police. A group of Kaiser Permanente health care workers also participated. Many thanks to the generosity of the tournament sponsors, donors and golfers who contributed to the success of this event.
