Rosie the Vaccinator Wins 2nd Place in Scarecrows in the Garden Event

Click on the photo for a larger view of Rosie The Vaccinator (aka the ‘Thrift Witch’) stamping out COVID with her huge hypodermic needle. For the fifth consecutive year Assistance League of Atlanta participated in Atlanta Botanical Garden’s ‘Scarecrows in the Garden’ annual event. The event is held the entire month of October, offering visitors a chance to see exhibits of local organizations’ versions of ‘scarecrows.’ Each year Assistance League submits a different version of the Thrift Witch, always using the same head, for the competition. As in previous years, her costume came from donations made to our thrift store, Attic Treasures. Click here to see the past versions of the Thrift Witch, most of which received first, second and third place recognition.
