The many valuable programs of Assistance League are funded through several innovative efforts.  Monies raised through the chapter’s fundraising activities are used for its philanthropic program expenses.  Money to finance non-philanthropic expenses incurred for member activities are derived from members’ dues and member-only functions. Because Assistance League is an all-volunteer organization with no paid employees, you can be assured that your every contribution will go directly to someone in the Austin community who needs and deserves it.

Endowment Fund

Assistance League of Austin was privileged to have been selected as one of 10 nonprofits to receive an initial challenge grant from Austin Community Foundation (ACF) in 2006 to establish an Endowment Fund with the goal of reaching $100,000 over four years.  ACF matched 1 to 4 in dollars, providing $5,000 per year for four years for a total of $20,000 to Assistance League of Austin’s funds of more than $80,000.  Austin Community Foundation will manage the investments and Assistance League of Austin may draw from interest dollars as the need arises according to the established guidelines.  As of June 30, 2019, the total value for the Assistance League of Austin fund was $200,182.66.  We encourage all to continue to support this fund as it will serve Assistance League of Austin needs for the future.
