Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

Students, grades pre K – 12, have the opportunity to shop at a designated Kohl’s store.  They select their clothing based on individual needs and circumstances.  Pre-k through grade 5 receive a shoe voucher to Payless and secondary students may select their shoes from the store’s inventory.  All receive a personal hygiene kit.  Their smiles as they leave the store are as big as the bags they are carrying!

Operation Cinderella

Provides high school seniors in need with everything necessary, from formal dresses to tux rental gift certificates, for a positive prom experience.

Operation Support Our Schools

Provides a variety of support services to at-risk students on nineteen campuses located in the Clear Creek and Dickinson Independent School Districts.

Assault Surivor Kit Assembly #1

Assault Survivor Kits®

Provides clothing and hygiene kits for victims of domestic and sexual assaults whose clothing has been retained by law enforcement as evidence.

Ready for Work

Provides men and women identified by the United Way of Greater Houston THRIVE Center at Bay Area and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters with interview and job appropriate clothing.

Communities In Schools – Bay Area Receives Additional Nutritional Support from Assistance League

Another successful shopping day at Sam’s Wholesale Club! Through the Operation Support Our Schools philanthropic program, nutritional items were delivered to Rachael Jones, Dickinson Community Project Project Coordinator, and Peter Wuenschel, Executive Director, of Communities In Schools – Bay Area. This purchase was made possible by the Bayport/Clear Lake Foundation of the Albemarle Corporation.
