Deserving Members Receive Awards at May Annual Meeting

At the May annual meeting, held on the 15th at Bay Oaks Country Club, three awards were presented to deserving individuals for their contributions to the chapter throughout the year, and in one example, over the course of several years.

Gail Ashby, Beverly Braden, and Brooks Cima are this year’s recipients of the A.B.C.D. Award. This honor is given to members who go above and beyond the call of duty. These members do not know the meaning of the word hours, and the award is based on the members’ activities for the current year.

Gail Ashby is the recipient of this year’s Sue Brady Award. This honor is presented to a member of the Board or an Appointive Standing Committee Chairman. This award is presented for leadership and exceptional service to Assistance League goals. These members do not limit their service to their leadership position, and they are involved in several levels of service. This award is based on the current year’s activities only.

Jill Williams is the recipient of this year’s Sue Holstein Award. This honor is presented to any member who has continued to support Assistance League of the Bay Area over the years and is a positive voice in our organization. This is considered a body of work award.

Congratulations to each of them for well-deserved recognition.
