Assistance League of the Bay Area Raises Awareness of Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence Awareness Month takes place every October. It evolved from a Day of Unity first observed in October 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The intent was to connect advocates for survivors of abuse across the nation, working to end violence against women and their children.

As a result of our philanthropic program partnership with The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Assistance League® of the Bay Area’s award-winning Resale Shop will offer 30% off of all purple clothing, shoes, and purses the week of October 9 – 12.
