Ashley Bryan, writer and illustrator of children’s books, enjoyed visiting with Resale Shop volunteers while waiting for his niece at Assistance League of the Bay Areas’ award-winning facility. He is a snowbird from Maine who enjoys the Houston weather in the winter while staying with his niece.
He is a 96-year-old World War II veteran, one of the first men to land on Omaha Beach in Normandy.
He has written and illustrated over 40 children’s books and has won numerous literary awards. His most recent book, Infinite Hope, was published, November 2019.
He was a charming gentleman who captured the ears of our shoppers!
