Dr. Smith Receives HOPE Award from Assistance League of the Bay Area

Assistance League of the Bay Area recently bestowed their annual Stuart M. Williams HOPE award on Dr. Greg Smith, CCISD Superintendent, at the organization’s Annual Meeting.

The HOPE award, which stands for Heroes of Positive Endeavors, is presented to a nonmember, company or group for their significant contribution to the Assistance League of the Bay Area.

Dr. Smith embraces the organization as a stalwart partner of the school district and recently offered space for the Assistance League’s philanthropic programs at the newly-renovated Learner Support Center.

Additionally, Dr. Smith has served on the organization’s Advisory Council for numerous years and is always willing to meet with members of the leadership team to address concerns and provide input to improve those philanthropic programs serving the students of the district.

Dr. Smith’s support of the Assistance League is unparalleled and recently remarked at a meeting, ““Assistance League is shining a light into the dark.”
