Chapter and Auxiliary Jointly Launch Snack Pack Attack Initiative

Millions of children and families living in America face hunger and food insecurity every day.

According to Feeding America’s website, due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 42 million people may experience food insecurity, including a potential 13 million children.

Chapter members and Assisteens® of the Bay Area sprang into action with their Snack Attack Pack initiative!

Monthly volunteers gather to assemble nonperishable food items that are delivered to Texas City ISD for distribution to students who are experiencing homelessness. Two hundred eighty packages are filled with a microwavable meal, salty snack, sweet snack, juice box, napkin, and spoon. Delivery of the filled snack bags will occur monthly during the school year to fourteen schools in the district.
