Ready for Work Philanthropic Program Serves Ten Clients Since June 1st

Since June 1, 2021, ten young women have received appropriate outfits suitable for job interviews or the first couple of weeks at work. Five clients were from the United Way THRIVE program, four were from the women’s shelter The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. and one was from Family Promise of Clear Creek.

The variety of jobs ranged from food service in a nursing home, an esthetician in a spa located in the Galleria area, a clerk at Buy Buy Baby to a December 2021 graduate in counseling in the Criminal Justice system.

These individuals are recipients of the chapter’s Ready for Work philanthropic program.
