Assistance League® and LyondellBasell representatives gathered at the chapter’s award-winning resale shop to acknowledge a $2,000 grant donated to the organization. The money will allow the chapter to serve students who attend schools in La Porte ISD.
Through a company match program, the chapter received an additional $2,000 contribution from Amy Caldwell, Bayport Plant Manager.
As a result of the combined contribution of $4,000, Assistance League of the Bay Area can serve an additional 40 elementary-aged students, through the chapter’s largest philanthropic program, Operation School Bell®. The program provides students with the opportunity to shop at the Pasadena JCPenney® on Fairmont Parkway, selecting school-appropriate clothing and accessories that allow them to feel like their peers, ready for classroom instruction.
