Imagine a group of passionate individuals who comprise the Grants & Foundations Committee. Their primary goal is to seek support and ensure the chapter accomplishes its #transforminglives and #strengtheningcommunity mission. They achieve this by presenting proposals and using their determination to knock on doors, make calls, and reach out to as many potential donors as possible.

Although the committee has existed since the chapter’s formation, consistent statistics have only been captured since 2007. Since then, generous donors’ annual giving has increased from approximately $25,000 to $200,000 per year. Our benefactors include companies, foundations, and individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on our recipients’ lives.

Unlike the chapter’s award-winning resale shop and the countless volunteer hours required to maintain it or the stunning décor and celebration of the annual fundraising event, which is also a massive volunteer undertaking, Grants & Foundations operates quietly. The committee is smaller, focusing on data and the philanthropic program’s narrative. However, the committee’s success has an equally significant impact.

Grants & Foundations’ success is most visible in Operation School Bell^®, the chapter’s largest philanthropic program. Thanks to these grants, we can provide students with school uniforms, supplies, and smiles. From ensuring that students are adequately nourished to providing them with new shoes, Grants & Foundations’ reach is far and wide.
