Marketing Committee Experiences Significant Changes During 30 Year History

The Marketing Committee, previously known as Public Relations, has undergone significant changes over time. Initially, it only consisted of a printed newsletter sent to members’ homes to keep them informed. As email communication emerged, the Monday Morning update became an internal communication channel for the committee. However, distribution list limitations meant only 40 recipients could be reached simultaneously. External publications like The Citizen, managed by Publisher Mary Alys Cherry, were also used to keep the community aware of ongoing activities. If your name appeared bold, you were part of the Clear Lake area’s fabric!

Fast-forward to today and marketing has become more dynamic and includes a variety of strategies, such as billboards, social media, website postings, email distribution services, videos, and advertisements in local magazines. The landscape has changed tremendously as information has become more accessible.

Nonetheless, the Marketing Committee remains committed to informing members and the community about Assistance League of the Bay Area.
We hope you share our enthusiasm for this noble cause!
