Enrollment Now Open for 2018-2019 Assisteens Membership
The mission of Assisteens, an all-teen auxiliary of Assistance League of the Bay Area, is to transform lives while strengthening the community
The goals of participation are to develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, and leadership skills. The Assisteens design and implement their own philanthropic programs, as well as provide support to Assistance League of the Bay Area programs and the community. The Assisteens meet on the fourth Sunday of most months, at 2:30 p.m., September through May. Assisteens requires members to complete a minimum of 15 service hours, attend at least 5 membership meetings, and actively participate on one committee each year.
If you are a student, currently in the 8th-10th grade, who wishes to join the Assisteens organization, please access and complete the application and submit it with the appropriate payment to P.O. Box 591543, Houston, TX, 77259-1543 prior to May 15.
Membership is not year-round so it is important that you submit your information by the deadline indicated.
All new members and a parent will be required to attend a mandatory orientation on Sunday, May 20th at 4:00 p.m. Failure to attend the meeting will result in removal from the 2018-2019 roster. Any fees paid will be non-refundable. If there is no way you can attend the orientation, please contact the Assisteens Coordinator to make alternate arrangements.
