Assisteens® of the Bay Area have seven philanthropic programs they independently manage – Birthday in a Box, Cause for Paws, Notes for Folks, Operation School Bell® Support, Operation Support Our Schools Support, Project FAMILY, and Project Snuggle.

Birthday in a Box

Provides party kits to at-risk students at League City and McWhirter Elementary Schools in Clear Creek ISD and KE Little and San Leon Elementary Schools in Dickinson ISD, along with a small gift and handwritten card.

Cause for Paws

Provides needed volunteer services to Bay Area Pet Adoptions and League City Animal Care shelters.
Adoption kits are assembled for distribution to new pet owners.

Notes for Folks

Cards recognizing birthdays and other special occasions are created and shared with senior adults in the memory care unit who reside at HeartIs Clear Lake.

Operation School Bell Support

The teens participate in the chapter’s largest philanthropy through a variety of identified activities.

Operation Support Our Schools Support

In collaboration with the chapter address food insecurity by preparing Snack Attack Packs monthly for students identified as homeless in Deer Park and Texas City ISDs.  Additionally, donate and volunteer at two local food pantries.

Project FAMILY

On the first Saturday of each month, Assisteens spend time with children who are residents at the Bay Area Turning Point, a domestic abuse shelter.  One hour is spent on tutoring and academics and the second hour is devoted to celebratory events.

Project Snuggle

Fleece blankets are made and distributed to children at the Bay Area Turning Point and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, domestic abuse shelters for women and children.
