Every year chapters from across Texas and Oklahoma gather for opportunities to learn, share, and socialize. This year, Assistance League of the Bay Area hosted the event at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center from June 12-13.
In addition to roundtables that offered discussion on topics that are relevant to the chapters, guests presented on the value of partnerships and presence in the community. Peter Wuenschel and Janet Summers of Communities In Schools – Bay Area shared the successes of working together through our philanthropic program, Operation Support Our Schools. Dr. Glenn Freedman reminded attendees of ways we transform the communities we serve every day and offered compelling ways to share that message. National President Anita Friesen updated the audience on all the exciting changes that are happening simultaneously with our national organization and the chapters they support.
On Monday evening, everyone gathered at our award-winning Resale Shop, located at 100 E. Nasa Parkway, to mix, mingle, and shop.
We hope the eight (plus us makes nine) chapters who attended, gleaned some meaningful information and made new friends in the process.
