Come see what all the excitement is about! Assistance League of Birmingham has opened Encore Thrift Shop. Clothes and accessories for men, women, and children, household items, rugs and art are all for sale at low prices.
Encore is located at 1755 Oxmoor Road. Hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
An all-volunteer membership manages Encore to raise funds for two philanthropic programs of Assistance League of Birmingham: Operation School Bell® and Operation Literacy. These programs support children in Jefferson and Shelby counties.
Thrift Shop Donations
Your donations are always appreciated! Donations are tax deductible, a receipt will be provided.
Please bring your “gently used” items to the receiving door located at the rear of the thrift shop entrance. Ring the doorbell, wait, and we will assist you in dropping off your items.
The public is welcome to donate items Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm; a tax receipt will be provided.
Donation Guidelines
Please, NO broken or damaged household items.
Please, NO significantly damaged, torn, or stained clothing items.
Due to space limitations, we can NOT accept the following items:
- Mattresses
- TVs, computers, or printers
- Encyclopedias
- Cars or motorcycles
- Large exercise equipment
- Baby cribs, infant car seats
- Hazardous materials, such as paint
