Operation School Bell®
distributes new uniforms, coats, shoes, socks, underwear, and hygiene items to counselors from high poverty schools in Charlotte. Middle school students are able to shop for school clothes through our Target program.
Operation Check Hunger
provides elementary school children in the Charlotte area with food. We have several avenues for providing the food.
Mecklenburg County Teen Court
is designed to provide juveniles with no previous convictions a second chance when they admit their guilt, agree to be tried by a jury of their peers, & take responsibility for their actions. Teens also learn communication, leadership, & diversity skills.
Scholarships
funds camps and classes for needy children and awards college monies to Charlotte Mecklenburg high school seniors and previous Assistance League of Charlotte Scholarship recipients for their continuing education. The scholarships are based on community service, academic performance and financial need.
