BUDDY BEAR

Teddy bears, named “Buddy Bear” are provided to children in traumatic situations. Buddy Bears are supplied to two local hospitals, Colorado Health at Memorial and Memorial North. Bears are provided year-round. This program begain in 1991.

Each month, 75 bears are delivered to each of the hospitals. The criteria for giving bears is determined by the hospital nurses and doctors. In 2015, 1,000 bears were donated.

Bears are provided when contacted by local emergency organizations such as the Red Cross.
