2021 Hero of the Heart:

      Robert Bryant

My husband, Robert Bryant has been involved in the floral industry for over 40 years. Originally his love for flowers grew while planting sweat peas as a young boy with his grandmother in her backyard. While in high school he became a floral delivery driver and quickly realized that he had a natural gift for floral design. With his keen business sense, not only did he create beautiful floral designs, he soon became the manager of a local flower shop. In 1992, Bob procured his own shop “Flowers by Robert Taylor” and has worked tirelessly ever since. To me, my husband is a Jack of all trades. He is still very hands on in his shop, whether he is advising a bride to be on her wedding vision, organizing the shop for one of the busy holiday seasons or making floral deliveries himself; he is always a dedicated perfectionist. He is a great listener and can understand what his customers want and help them celebrate their special events. In giving to the Covina Valley Community, Bob has been a long-standing member of the West Covina Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years.  He has helped sponsor Good Neighbor day – an annual event in September that promotes community by giving away free flowers. Over the past 3 decades I have seen Bob spending many long hours and days working and promoting his flower shop because he loves his business, his customers and this community.

Assistance League of Covina is pleased to honor Robert Bryant as our 2021 Hero of the Heart.

Robert has been a generous supporter of Assistance League of Covina Valley for 27 years.  Bob and his  wife Kathy through Flowers by Robert Taylor have underwritten and presented the “Twelve Months of Giving” a coveted Christmas Tree Brunch Treasure. Twelve Months of Giving a favorite has realized donations in excess of $25,000.00.  The money raised has been used to dress students through Operation School Bell and tutor children in our Learning center, provide Assault Survivor Kits and much more.

Robert Bryant, with grateful hearts Assistance League of Covina Valley salutes you.
