Operation School Bell®

Elementary school children are dressed at Assistance League’s facilities and receive new clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, back pack with school supplies, and hygiene kits. Middle and high school students are treated to personal shopping trips to a local department store where they select their own school clothing, shoes, and supplies.

Community Services

Provides Thrift Shop vouchers and gently used clothing to other non profit agencies and responds to one-time/urgent needs in the community.

Hug In a Box

Assists community residents in foster care agencies, domestic violence shelters, transitional housing, and local schools by donating clothing, blankets, bedding, towels, hygiene kits, comfort items, Christmas gifts, and aging out and dorm kits.

Learning Center

Provides one-on-one tutoring by credentialed and highly-qualified teachers to students who are falling behind in the regular school system. Instruction is given in all subjects and all grades. Tuition is the lowest in the area and scholarships are available.

Assault Survivor Kits®

Supports adults and children who are victims of sexual, physical, and mental abuse and are in medical facilities. Since clothing is usually retained by law enforcement officers for evidence, the kits contain new wear-home sweats, shoes, and personal hygiene items. Blankets, teddy bears, coloring books and crayons are added to the children’s backpack kits.

Roman’s Chariots

A program by our Assisteens Auxiliary to provide wagons equipped for IV poles for hospitalized children who need transport.

These are but a few of the small miracles we
help make happen throughout any given year.
