In 2018 – 2019 more than 2000 students were provided with new school clothing by Assistance League of Georgetown Area in Georgetown, Jarrell, and Florence Independent School Districts. The volunteers in the local chapter contributed more than $150,000 and more than 22,000 hours on the project.
Volunteers assist individual students by providing reading mentoring to elementary schoolchildren.
Monthly birthday parties brighten the lives of the residents at a local memory care facility.
In 2018-2019 Assist A Teacher provided $4,000 to help 20 first-year elementary school teachers with supplies to enhance their new classrooms.
In 2018 – 2019 over $52,500 in scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors in area high schools.
