In 2018 – 2019 more than 2000 students were provided with new school clothing by Assistance League of Georgetown Area in Georgetown, Jarrell, and Florence Independent School Districts. The volunteers in the local chapter contributed more than $150,000 and more than 22,000 hours on the project.
Volunteers assist individual students by providing reading mentoring to elementary schoolchildren.
Monthly birthday parties brighten the lives of the residents at a local memory care facility.
Assist A Teacher began in 2016 to provide first-time, first-year elementary school teachers with supplies to enhance their new classroom.
Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors in area high schools. This program began in 2014.
