The goal of this program is to provide scholarships to qualified single parents, male or female, who are studying at either Aims Community College or the University of Northern Colorado. For the2022-23 academic year, more than $58,000 has been awarded to 12 students.

Applications are available through the Aims and UNC Financial Aid offices. Recipients must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a custodial single parent, living on your own, apart from the other parent,
    with a child or children (age birth through completion of secondary school,)
    living with you no less than 50% of the time.
  • Be U. S. citizen residing in Weld County for at least one year.
  • Be admitted into an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
  • Provide documentation of at least a 3.0 GPA (Undergraduate),
    3.5 GPA (Graduate).

Since the scholarship program began in 1991, the Assistance League of Greeley has awarded single-parent scholarships totaling $916,600.
