In addition to clothing, socks, underwear, essential items, and books, Operation School Bell® provides tennis shoes for each elementary school student served. Students choose from a variety of shoe styles and color options, measurements are taken, shoes are ordered and then shipped directly from the manufacturer to the schools for distribution. This past year, Assistance League of Kansas City provided new shoes to over 2,400 students through Operation School Bell, and we’re off to a fast start this fall as more and more students visit our facility.
