Heartland Auxiliary members had a great time this week assembling Holiday Angel gift bags for “adopted” families of Synergy Services Teen Parent Support Program. The overflowing gift bags will be delivered to Synergy for distribution at their Teen Parent Holiday Party in December.
Each child receives an outfit, pajamas, socks, warm hoodie or jacket, and a toy. At this week’s meeting, blankets, all of which were made by our volunteers, books, and an ALex Operation HUG bear were added to the gift bags, along with a small personal item and a Target gift card for the parents. It was a wonderful evening for members and friends as they happily came together for the same mission, to help children and adults in our community through our Operation Child in Need Program.
