Founded in 1983 and chartered in 1986, Assistance League of Kansas City, a chapter of National Assistance League, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a long history of philanthropic service to the greater Kansas City community. The organization raises its own funds and has no paid staff; all programs and resource development activities are staffed and operated by over 300 member volunteers.

Assistance League of Kansas City is dedicated to alleviating the consequences of poverty or crisis for children and
adults in the greater Kansas City community.
