Founded in 1983 and chartered in 1986, Assistance League of Kansas City, a chapter of National Assistance League, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a long history of philanthropic service to the greater Kansas City community. The organization raises its own funds and has no paid staff; all programs and resource development activities are staffed and operated by over 300 member volunteers with two auxiliaries: Heartland Auxiliary and Assisteens®.
