Assistance League of Kansas City welcomes community volunteers to assist with our community-based philanthropic efforts.  There are circumstances where individuals or groups would like to support our programs without regard to chapter membership.  Please contact us online if you or your group is interested in arranging a non-member volunteer opportunity.

Below is a list of volunteer opportunities at this time:

Assault Survivor Kits® – could use help with toiletry kits, folding t-shirts, labels on tags, labels on books; assembling bags all year round (10-15 people needed)

Operation Hug – bear baggers needed – 3 times per year – any age – 4 week notification

Operation School Bell® – could use help sorting and folding in the back room, with health kits – older teens and adults:  on-call basis

THE ReSALE SHOP (our thrift store) – sort clothing, sort hangers, clean/sort housewares, tag items, assist at the donation door, dust, vacuum, straighten racks – smaller groups (maximum of 7 people each session) from teens on up

Senior Outreach Service – volunteers can help with the senior pal cards work (sorting and addressing, etc.); could also help with shopping, wrapping, labeling and delivering Christmas gifts for 120+ senior pals.

Specific skill building, i.e. college student teaching computer skills

Any collection drives a group would like to take on, i.e. school items for Operation Child in Need or donations for THE ReSALE SHOP.
