Outreach

The Outreach program began in 1993 and enables Assistance League of Kansas City member volunteers to address a wide variety of community on a one-time-only basis.  Each activity under this program addresses a specific community need(s) and requires a signed agreement between Assistance League of Kansas City and the organization being served.

In 2021-2022, head lice kits were provided for 20 children, making them eligible for vision exams and glasses necessary for school.

Other projects have included providing emergency kits of clothing to high school students in the North Kansas City School district.  Each duffel bag contained sweatpants, sweatshirts, a t-shirt, underwear and socks.  The program has also given northland infant care centers diapers and wipes.
