Assistance League of Kansas City is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that is comprised of multi-talented volunteers working together to fulfill its mission. We are an organization whose members volunteered over 68,417 hours last year. Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of Kansas City residents through hands-on programs.

Membership is open to those who wish to be of service to our community and have the time, creativity and passion to volunteer.  The joy of giving is expressed through extraordinary programs chosen to meet the specific needs of our community.  Join ~350 women and men who volunteer with Assistance League of Kansas City. Kansas City chapter is one of 120 chapters of National Assistance League throughout the USA.  Your annual dues connect the Kansas City chapter to our National organization and all its benefits

Membership Levels

 Chapter Member (Voting):

  • Participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
  • Attend monthly daytime chapter meetings
  • Pay annual dues of $60

 Auxiliary (Non-Voting):

  • Participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
  • Attend regular evening auxiliary meetings
  • Pay annual dues of $60
  • Learn more about Heartland Auxiliary

Assisteens (Non-Voting):

  • Participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter
  • Gain experience and log service hours
  • Attend regular assisteens meetings
  • For boys and girls in 7th – 12th grade
  • Pay annual dues of $35
