Become a member of an incredible group of volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in their community

Since 1986, Assistance League of Kansas City has been meeting needs in local communities. With over 350 member volunteers– women, men, retired, and working—we are dedicated to improving the lives of Kansas City residents through hands-on programs.

We are 100% volunteer, no employees or salaried staff. This allows our resources to be used to help meet the needs of local at-risk children and adults.

Join us and become part of our community service effort. As a volunteer, you will:

    • participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fund-raising activities of the chapter
    • Attend your choice of monthly meetings, daytime or evening
    • Pay annual dues of $60

New members receive orientation and training
so that they can decide when and where they
want to volunteer
.  Assistance League is a great
place to serve
the community while having fun
and making new friends.

Volunteers gather to pack duffel bags
with clothing, hygiene items and other
necessities to deliver to school counselors
for high school teens who have no supervision
or permanent home.

Each Fall, Operation School Bell serves over
4,500 disadvantaged students in local school districts.
Our members love assisting elementary children in trying
on and selecting new school clothes.

It takes many hands to prepare THE ReSALE SHOP
for a Christmas extravaganza each year.  Our shop
produces a majority of the revenue that funds nine
philanthropic programs
which help those in need.
