UNLV HOPE Scholars Program Assists Homeless Youth in Clark County

The UNLV HOPE Scholars Program is a partnership between the Clark County School District (CCSD) Title I HOPE Program, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) and Desert Sage Auxiliary (an Auxiliary of Assistance League of Las Vegas) and UNLV.  The Program is specifically designed to assist those students who are CCSD graduating seniors and who qualify as Unaccompanied Homeless Youth in Clark County.  The UNLV HOPE Scholars Program secures year-round housing as well as provides academic and financial support for the students while they are attending UNLV.

Desert Sage Auxiliary participates in the support of the UNLV HOPE Scholars Program by providing these students with gift cards for their personal expenses and daily needs as well as helping with the purchase of students’ textbooks. For more information about the UNLV HOPE Scholars Program contact Anabel Chavva at anabel.chavva@unlv.edu.
