Assistance League Minneapolis/St. Paul has a weekend food program for students when school is in session. Since the school buildings were closed for the pandemic, the food was not being distributed. The staff at the community center were very grateful for the donation as their demand for food has been high.
“We wanted to get the food out into the community where it was needed,” Laurie Lokar, Vice President of Philanthropic Programs for Assistance League commented. “That’s what we are all about – serving our local community and making sure essential needs are met.”
