Instructions:

The Links to Learning program of the Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul, funds grants to educators for programs that enrich education, improve student achievement, encourage parent/community involvement, and address diversity, equity and inclusion. Below is additional information that will help you write a proposal that meets the criteria for funding. Please take the time to read these instructions.

Up to $1,000 in grant funding is available for each applicant. Applicants can apply for less but no more than $1,000 will be awarded to any one applicant.

  • If the application includes bringing an expert/individual speaker/organization/artist, we can only provide $599 in funding to cover the costs (tax requirement). It is acceptable to spend $599 on a speaker or organization and an additional $401 on related supplies/equipment for the same project. Please make note of this in your budget.
  • Each applicant may only apply for one grant per year. Applicants can apply for a grant every year.
  • For several teachers who all apply for a grant for the same project from the same school, the limit is a total of $5000. For example, 5 teachers can each submit a proposal for the same project, state that they are working together on that project, and each can request $1,000 for a total of $5,000 for that project. We do need 5 applications.
  • Grant applications are due September 30, 2024. Notifications of funding will be sent out by the end of November 2024.
