Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul offers grants to teachers in the Minneapolis School District, the Richfield School District, and St. Paul Public Schools. These grants, which range up to $800, are used to fund enrichment projects outside the standard curriculum. Assistance League member volunteers review grant applications and conduct follow up visits of grant recipients. During the 2021-22 school year, Assistance League funded 91 teacher grants impacting over 13,000 students in 44 unique schools in Minneapolis, Richfield, and St. Paul. The grants have been used to fund field trips, guest artists and authors cooking classes, access to new technology, equipment for distance learning, culturally specific books, math manipulatives, and much more.

Students have felt more confident in their ability to be scientists.
