Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul offers grants to teachers in the Minneapolis School District, the Richfield School District, South St. Paul School District, and St. Paul Public Schools. These grants, which range up to $1000, are used to fund enrichment projects outside the standard curriculum. Assistance League member volunteers review grant applications and conduct follow up visits of grant recipients. During the 2022-23 school year, Assistance League funded 106 teacher grants impacting over 21,014 students in 44 unique schools in Minneapolis, Richfield, South St. Paul, and St. Paul school districts. The grants have been used to fund field trips, guest artists and authors, community gardens, cooking classes, access to new technology, culturally specific books, math manipulatives, and much more.
