Re-Share

In response to excess items, and items that are not sold in the Thrift Shop, Re-Share was created. The program emphasizes collaboration with other local nonprofit organizations by reallocating certain items received to more appropriate organizations in an ongoing, one time or short term basis.

With the help of many backroom staffers sorting through donations for Re-Share, the committee has passed along donated items to fourteen other nonprofits.  Approximately 42,000 recipients have benefitted from this program.  Items “recycled” through Re-Share include printers, canes, walkers, medical supplies, children’s car seats, books, clothing, hair products, prescription eyeglasses, school supplies, and arts and crafts supplies.  We are now partnering with a program at Renown Regional Medical Center, providing donated wigs for patients going through chemotherapy.
