Re-Share

In response to excess items, and items that are not sold in the Thrift Shop, Re-Share was created. The program emphasizes collaboration with other local nonprofit organizations by reallocating certain items received to more appropriate organizations in an ongoing, one time or short term basis.

With the help of many backroom staffers sorting through donations for Re-Share, the committee has passed along donated items to eleven other nonprofits.  Approximately 16,300 recipients benefitted from this program in 2020-2021.  Items “recycled” through Re-Share include computers, printers, canes, walkers, medical supplies, books, clothing, household goods, prescription eyeglasses, school supplies, and arts and crafts supplies.  We are now partnering with a program at Renown Regional Medical Center, providing donated wigs for patients going through chemotherapy.
