Assistance League of Reno-Sparks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that is comprised of multi-talented member volunteers working together to fulfill its mission. It is an organization whose members volunteer over 50,000 hours every year. Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of Washoe County residents through hands-on programs.

Membership is open to those who wish to be of service to our community and have the time, creativity and passion to volunteer.  The joy of giving is expressed through extraordinary programs chosen to meet the specific needs of our community.

Membership Levels and Requirements


A new member shall attend orientation and training as prescribed by the chapter. All voting members shall participate in and support the philanthropic programs and fundraising activities. They shall attend chapter meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month (September to June) and have the privilege of voting and holding office. Voting members pay annual chapter dues of $75.


An auxiliary member shall have been accepted into membership of an auxiliary of the chapter. This individual shall have the privileges and fulfill the obligations of such membership and shall pay annual chapter dues of $75. An auxiliary member is a nonvoting member of the chapter.


A nonvoting member may support and participate in philanthropic programs and/or fundraising activities. They are welcome to attend monthly meetings and serve on committees, but they may not hold an elected office. They pay annual chapter dues of $175.

Membership applications are now accepted at any time.  Prospective new members will be contacted to schedule an educational tour and training.
