Operation School Bell supports Water Canyon Seniors

They shopped till they dropped at JCPenney!

Assistance League® of Southern Utah provided 35 deserving high school seniors with a never-to-be-forgotten shopping experience on March 31st.  Each senior class student from Water Canyon High School was awarded a $200 gift card to purchase new clothes for life after graduation – whether for work or school, or both.

Shopping for the young women was made possible by a grant from Three Corners Women’s Giving Circle.

Drake Anderson, Store Manager at JCPenney, hosted the shopping trip in the St. George store for an after-hours opportunity to find the best bargains on terrific merchandise, some with deep discounts.  Student volunteers from Dixie State University were on hand to help the eager shoppers find the right styles and sizes.

As usual for our shopping events, a number of our dedicated volunteer members helped with shopping and record management.

The students were truly appreciative of the opportunity to have so much to spend on themselves, some of them for the first time.
