Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

Provides new clothing for elementary, middle and high school children for identified low-income students in the five school districts we serve.

Operation Foster Youth

Facilitates collaboration with local foster care homes and foster family agencies to provide service in the form of the basic essentials of clothing and necessary supplies to foster family agencies for children entering the foster care system.

Operation Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to area high school seniors for scholastic excellence as well as outstanding community service. Grants are also awarded to district teachers for enrichment programs.

Operation Bear Hug

This program provides teddy bears to hospitalized, injured or traumatized children through hospital ERs and other agencies.

Operation Nonprofit Partnerships

Partners with other community nonprofit organizations to assist in providing needed services to the community.

Assisteens Board Ready for 2023/2024

Our junior auxiliary encourages and provides volunteer opportunities for young people in grades 7 through 12. The goals are to develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, poise, public speaking and leadership skills. Assisteens volunteer at the thrift shop in exchange for budgeted funds to use for their philanthropic programs that benefit their […]

Two hundred Seniors from Temecula, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore high schools applied for our scholarships. The Committee read every application. Many outstanding students applied, so it was very difficult for us to make our final choices. The Committee chose thirty-four recipients from the Class of 2023 Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship. Our members presented […]

     When Assistance League received the grant from the City of Temecula, we decided to allot $8,000 to Special Ed. The Assistance League Thrift Shop is our primary source of funding for our philanthropic programs.  We are proud of our reputation as one of the best and friendliest thrift shops in Southwest Riverside County.  Our members work hard to make sure the merchandise is always good quality, clean, and priced fairly.
