Reaching out through Operation Community Outreach

Through Assistance League’s Operation Community Outreach program, Lakeshore Learning’s learning materials kit and flash drives (ages 5-11) has been donated to Oak Grove Center for use in their autism summer camp. Students with moderate to severe disabilities will use a variety of materials in this kit to work toward Common Core standards in literacy, math, science, social studies and language development.

Oak Grove offers services to students on the autism spectrum focusing on a combination of academic, social, and vocational skills.

“Oak Grove is profoundly grateful for the generosity of Assistance League. Their generous donation is providing curriculum tools and games for our autism population. Assistance League has supported Oak Grove a number years through the Operation School Bell Program. We appreciate the support as we Empower Success and Transform Lives” Tammy Wilson, CEO Oak Grove Center.

“This is yet another way that Assistance League has provided support to one of our community’s nonprofit organization programs. Combining resources to work together allows us to make a greater impact on the needs of the community,” Aubrey Nicometo, Chairman, Operation Community Outreach.
