Philanthropic Programs

Operation School Bell®

Provides new clothing for elementary, middle and high school children referred by the health clerks in the four school districts we serve.

Operation Foster Youth

Facilitates collaboration with local foster care homes and foster family agencies to provide service in the form of the basic essentials of clothing and necessary supplies to foster family agencies for children entering the foster care system.

Operation Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded to area high school seniors for scholastic excellence as well as outstanding community service. Grants are also awarded to district teachers for enrichment programs.

Operation SHADES

Provides a series of financial literacy classes for targeted youths “for a future so bright you will have to wear shades”.

Operation Bear Hug

This program provides teddy bears to hospitalized, injured or traumatized children through hospital ERs and other agencies.

Operation Nonprofit Partnerships

Partners with other community nonprofit organizations to assist in providing needed services to the community.

Operation Community Outreach

This unique program meets a range of community needs on a one-time basis. It enables the organization to respond to emergency requests for goods and services in a flexible manner.

With the generosity of Assistance League volunteers and community members, Operation Foster Youth, an Assistance League philanthropic program, was able to provide 153 foster kids Christmas gifts as well as new backpacks, and quilts.  Also provided were 145 activity passes for the foster kids to do over the Christmas holiday.  A total of 298 foster […]
