Two hundred Seniors from Temecula, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore high schools applied for our scholarships. The Committee read every application. Many outstanding students applied, so it was very difficult for us to make our final choices. Assisteens auxiliary, 7th through 12th grade students, held a holiday food drive. With the help of chapter members, Assisteens were able to donate 631 pounds of food to Community Mission of Hope. Our Assisteens Coordinator delivered the donations on November 14th, just in time for Thanksgiving distribution.
On November 8th members of the Philanthropic Programs committee met with the team from Transitional Housing to spend the last of our Kohl’s Cash. We were able to purchase bedding, towels, shower curtains, dishes, glassware and pots and pans for new apartments that are being opened shortly. Many thanks again to Kohl’s for their generosity. […]
Operation School Bell is in the process of providing new clothes for identified low-income students (TK-12). Each student shops for clothing at a tax free value of $125.
