All members, volunteers and staff have a duty of loyalty to Assistance League in all organizational affairs. Assistance League members must uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior in the following ways:
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty and trustworthiness in our work and dedication to Assistance League’s values and beliefs.
- Treat with respect and consideration all persons regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, age or national origin.
- Hold paramount the safety, health and welfare of the public in the performance of chapter duties.
- Demonstrate fairness in actions both internally and externally and be mindful of the impact of actions on other groups and individuals.
- Behave in a manner that demonstrates care for others and the community and be mindful of protecting the public image and reputation of Assistance League.
- Demonstrate the core values of Assistance League when acting on behalf of the organization and be accountable and transparent to our constituents and to one another.
- Share information appropriately without sacrificing confidentiality.
- Demonstrate respect and courtesy by considering the opinions of and accepting the differences among individuals within the organization.
- Honor the structure and responsibilities of the Board and provide it with facts and advice as a basis for policy making decisions. Uphold and implement policies adopted by the Board.
- Comply with all chapter policies.
