How Does Supporting Assistance League Sierra Foothills Benefit Youth and Seniors?
Your sponsorship will help fund our six signature programs. Because of supporters such as you, we are able to facilitate disadvantaged youth to:
- select new clothes for school;
- participate in organized sports that they could not otherwise afford;
- have a duffle bag in which to carry their possessions when they are moving into a new home; and
- improve their reading with 1-1 tutoring as well as books to take home and read.
Additionally, with your support, we are able to recognize graduating high school seniors who have exhibited a dedication to community service, demonstrated need or who have overcome significant challenges with a scholarship to continue their education.
Finally, seniors who are living in a senior retirement center benefit from your support with a monthly social activity led by our members.
