Scoring Enrichment Scholarship Applications

Scoring applications for the Enrichment Scholarship Program

Each Enrichment Scholarship Program application is reviewed, evaluated and scored by at least two committee members, sometimes three.

The scoring rubric consists of a total of 60 points divided into three areas. The students can earn up to 20 points for the content of their essay and up to 20 points for writing skills such as grammar and spelling etc. The remaining 20 points come from a letter of recommendation submitted by a non-family member program-related adult.

Once the entire scoring process is complete, the student scores are compiled from highest to lowest. The committee then determines by total points earned, and dollar amounts requested compared to our current budget, just how many scholarships we are able to grant.
